The aim of the SMOB project was to provide an overview of mobile phone usage data to facilitate the work of telecom employees. The project was led by Frank Heidmann, and I worked with Arne Schütze and Thomas Sonsalla. While Arne and Thomas developed scatter plots and variations of pie chart visualisations, I explored the Sankey diagrams as illustrated below.
